Parent Support Group (PSG)

Academic and holistic success being the focus of learning, it is important that the influence of home and school are equally impactful for the growing child. Ambassador Kindergarten actively promotes all means of effective co-operation between school and parents. Partnership working is a shared responsibility and accountability between all involved, so each stakeholder needs to think about means to initiate working together and maintain a positive relationship among all to bring about specific outcomes in children and the setting.

In keeping with the principles of partnership in education a strong Parent Support Group comprising parents from different walks of life, but with a unified progressive vision to enrich the learning process for children and for the betterment of the school has been formed. It consists of one representative from each class in addition to a Parent Governor from each grade. The parent representatives and the school management meet on a bi-monthly basis to put forth their views on the ongoing programmes and share their expertise and strategies to counter challenges if any. The role of the Parent Support Group is to bridge the understanding between the school and parent community; ensure positive sharing of relevant information with other parents, active participation of parents in consultations for new initiatives and develop effective partnership between school and home to ensure and encourage parents to become actively involved in the education of their children, thereby contributing to quality improvement in the setting.
