Continuous Professional Development

At Ambassador Kindergarten CPD is designed to complement the existing training pathways for early childhood educators, going beyond the basic accredited teacher certification. It is a given at Ambassador Kindergarten that early childhood teachers gain a deeper understanding of child development to provide richer educational experiences to all types of learners and connect with a diverse array of families.

The professional development encompasses three major areas:

Knowledge – consisting of facts, concepts, ideas, vocabulary and related aspects of educational culture and best practices

Skills- to the observable units of action that are learned through direct instruction, modelling and imitation, application of theory, improvement through feedback, training sessions and workshops.

CPD is conducted internally at the Kindergarten level by subject matter experts, departmental heads and leadership team to keep the momentum going. External resources, specialists, workshops, sessions and participation in relevant assessments help in strengthening the capacities and capabilities of the teachers.

CPD helps in fostering excellence in teachers and leaders, makes each member of the staff accountable, reflect on achievements, acquiring knowledge from others and attaining a benchmark in performance. It is a flexible and positive knowledge sharing and learning platform for teachers to excel, enjoy and transfer their learning to our kindergarteners.
