Sports

Sports for the Kindergarteners comprise of both structured and un-structured play. Every sports class focuses on development of gross motor skills and is designed to improve the children’s co-ordination and confidence. The children learn fundamental skills for sports such as throwing and catching whilst also playing participating in sports like basketball and football. Stretching and physical exercises consist of developing balancing, rolling and finding space, whereas a football lessons will be working on dribbling, passing and shooting. The lessons are always fun and engaging for the children as well as educational.

SPORTS AND FITNESS
The youngest class of Pre-Kindergarteners learn to run safely on the whole foot, kick a large ball and squat with steadiness, to pick up an object and rise back to their feet without using their hands. They also engage in different movements like slithering, shuffling, rolling, crawling, walking, running, jumping, skipping, sliding and hopping. It helps to analyse the children’s ability to be able to negotiate space and their ability to catch a large ball.
In Kindergarten1 and 2 classes, the students progress from developing the motor skills they have already learnt to an increase in control over an object when throwing, catching and kicking it. With these classes the children also work on racing and chasing games with other children developing their skill to adjust speed and change direction when met with an obstacle.

YOGA AND MINFULNESS
Yoga is a combination of physical postures, breathing techniques, meditation, character education, and healthy living practices. Bringing the healthy benefits of yoga to Ambassador Kindergarten the little ones learn yoga from a very early age while their motor skills and muscular control is developing. They are extremely flexible and receptive to this fantastic training of mind, body and soul coordination.
